GP Practice Income Identification

GP Practice Income Identification

From the 1st of April 2016 Wiltshire CCG will no longer be permitted to make Local Enhanced Services (LES) payments to GP Practices through the Exeter system. From this date the method by which GP practices can identify the purpose of income received into the Practice account will change.

From the 1st of April the remittance advice practices receive will provide a more detailed breakdown of the individual payments that the CCG are making to the practice rather than a one line reference identifying payments that have been generated through the Exeter system.

Practices must ensure that they receive remittance advice for CCG payments and that SBS hold an appropriate e-mail for remittance advice distribution, in order for practices to identify income received.

Current Process for LES Payments

• Practice identifies income received from Wiltshire CCG in practice bank account
• Practice identifies income detail through remittance advice received
• Where remittance advice indicates payment with an invoice reference number beginning WL0000……., this is a payment generated through the Exeter system.
• In order to understand the detail behind any payment generated through Exeter the practice must log on to Open Exeter.

New Process for LES Payments

• Practice identifies income received from Wiltshire CCG in practice bank account
• Practice identifies income detail through remittance advice received

Please note – This process change does not affect dispensing practice drug payments which will continue to be processed through the Exeter system and paid by the CCG.
